As a family owned business with over 20 years of experience, our expert marina/boatyard, management, office and service staff are so well known and respected in the USA and Caribbean boating communities for many years as being totally committed to customer service.

Our yard is equipped with a BFM 70 MARINE TRAVELIFT capable of hauling vessels up to 60 tons with a 19ft beam and a 7.5ft draft (over 7.5ft draft can be discussed) and a TAMI MULTIHULL TRAVELIFT capable of hauling up to 30 tons with a 28 foot beam and a 7.5 foot draft then we have our other heavy duty equipment to take care of all of your needs.

The Maritima del Atlantico Boatyard, also known as Maratlantico, is located in the Ocean World Marina premises (also a family owned business) in Cofresi, Puerto Plata, on the historically known as “safe-from-storms” North Coast of the Dominican Republic.  Ocean World Marina provides a fast and easy check-in (all in English) plus they have the  only fuel dock on the North Coast making us the only full-service marina and boatyard located between Florida and Puerto Rico/Eastern Caribbean region.

Both our boatyard and Ocean World Marina and the marine park are fully fenced with 24/7 security, access gates plus full perimeter and inside lighting throughout the whole complex for your peace of mind, which is backed up by very large generators if the power goes out.

Office hours:  8:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday  – Friday and  Boatyard hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm  Monday – Friday and Saturday 8:00am – 12:00pm (Closed on Sundays and Public Holidays).

We do not have live-a-board facilities available on-site, however, Ocean World Marina has two apartments they rent out on their premises or we have contacts for many other options just a few minutes walk up the road out of the main gate.
Daytime bathroom and shower facilities are available at Ocean World Marina included in your yard rates along with free wi-fi at Ocean World Marina, plus the use of their gym and reception can arrange a free shopping shuttle to a well stocked large supermarket for you, or a taxi to another two large supermarkets or airports, even Price Smart in Santiago, plus we can both advise you about tours and so much more for your needs or your boat’s needs.

For eating out: On-site we have the superb Ocean World Marina’s “The Terrace Restaurant” for breakfast, lunch, dinner where they host many birthday parties, weddings and on Friday nights they have bands with dancing, looking out over the marina or, a few minutes walk up the road out of our front gate, you will find many international and local cuisine restaurants plus a small grocery shop (colmado) plus mobile phone minutes, etc.

Puerto Plata and Santiago airports have daily flights from USA and Europe plus freight companies based in USA ship in by airfreight daily to their branches in Dominican Republic and are a great way to bring in items that you cannot source here in the chandleries (ask us for information), then heavier items can be brought in by sea.

Puerto Plata has so much historical and fun tourism as a the third largest tourist city with  a superb choice of great dining experiences plus supermarkets, dermatologists, doctors, dentists, vets, private or govt hospitals, etc. so there is a very good chance that you can find what you need here.
