Maritima del Atlantico S.R.L. is a family-owned business with over 20 years of experience, recognized throughout the USA and Caribbean boating communities for our professionalism and commitment to customer service.
Our boatyard is equipped with a BFM 70 Marine Travelift capable of hauling vessels up to 60 tons (18 ft beam, 7.5 ft draft), as well as a multihull Travelift capable of hauling up to 30 tons (26 ft beam, 8.5 ft draft). In addition, we maintain a full range of heavy-duty equipment to support all standard boatyard services and project requirements.
Maritima del Atlantico S.R.L. (also known as Maratlantico) is located within the premises of Ocean World Marina, a family-owned facility situated on the historically recognized “safe-from-storms” North Coast of the Dominican Republic.
Ocean World Marina offers a controlled depth of 12 feet in its small-vessel section and provides competitive rates for longer-term stays, which also apply to boatyard storage. The marina facilitates a streamlined check-in and clearance process in English, with all relevant authorities located on-site. In addition, it operates the only fuel dock on the North Coast supplying premium diesel and gasoline.
Together, the marina and boatyard form the only full-service facility positioned between the heavily traveled Florida/Bahamas corridor and the Puerto Rico/Eastern Caribbean route.

The facilities of Maritima del Atlantico S.R.L., Ocean World Marina, and Ocean World Adventure Park are fully enclosed and secured, with 24/7 controlled access gates, on-site security personnel, and comprehensive perimeter and interior lighting throughout the complex. The property is also supported by large backup generators to ensure continuous operation in the event of power outages.

Accommodation:
Please note that there are currently no liveaboard facilities available on-site. However, we can assist with arranging nearby accommodation options, including reasonably priced properties with swimming pool facilities.
Included in Our Rates:
Rates include access to daytime restroom and hot shower facilities at Ocean World Marina, complimentary Wi-Fi at the marina reception, and use of the on-site gym facilities.
The marina can arrange a complimentary round-trip shopping shuttle to a large, well-stocked supermarket. Additional transportation services can also be coordinated for access to other supermarkets, airports, tours, and other personal or vessel-related needs.
Laundry Services:
A professional wash, dry, and fold service is available on-site at Ocean World Marina (laundry tokens may be purchased at reception).
Dining Options:
Located on-site, the popular Ocean World Terrace Restaurant overlooks the marina and serves breakfast (Saturdays and Sundays), as well as lunch and dinner seven days a week. The restaurant also features an indoor ATM and regularly hosts special events, including live local bands on Friday evenings.
Within walking distance of the marina, you will find additional breakfast venues, international and local cuisine restaurants, a small grocery shop (colmado), a mobile phone kiosk, a pharmacy, and other convenient services.
Sourcing & Importing Parts:
Both Gregorio Luperón International Airport and Cibao International Airport offer daily flights from the USA and Europe. In addition, several Florida-based freight companies provide daily shipping services to their branches in Puerto Plata, offering a reliable and efficient solution for importing parts that may not be available locally on the North or South Coast. Larger items can also be shipped by sea through the nearby commercial port. We are pleased to assist with coordinating these services.

Puerto Plata, one of the Dominican Republic’s original and largest tourist destinations, offers a wide range of cultural, historical, and recreational attractions. Highlights include the annual Carnival celebrations throughout February, diverse local and international dining options, rum, cigar, and chocolate factories, the Amber Museum, world-class watersports, waterfalls, golf courses, ziplining, horseback riding, hiking trails, caves, buggy excursions, and the renowned Ocean World Adventure Park.
